We are building an AI service business. We take a proven internal knowledge-base + AI agent system and deliver it to clients as a managed service: dedicated assistant bots embedded in each service team, turning plain-language requests into structured work orders.
About the Role
We're hiring our first Delivery Engineer in Dallas to put this service into clients' hands. Phase 1 is behind the scenes (systems live, execs trained, internal pilots delivered). Phase 2 may involve joining client meetings once pilots are proven. You'll be the first delivery hire of a new AI service business: broad ownership, direct access to company leadership, and a front-row seat as internal pilots grow into external clients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the service. Deploy assistant bots for pilot teams: map service catalogs, build request-translation templates (plain language → structured work orders), and get deployments live. Internal pilots first, external clients next.
- Presales support. Prepare one-page briefs for executives heading into client meetings, assemble on-site materials, produce meeting notes within 60 seconds after the meeting, and follow-up packages within 24 hours. Strict data isolation between clients.
- Behind-the-scenes enablement. Build discreet real-time information channels (mobile/watch cards, minimal earpiece prompts) so executives walk into meetings fully armed. House rule: we never pitch "AI assistants" to clients — the technology stays invisible.
- Devices & metrics. Image, manage (MDM), and deploy up to 100 devices; 30-minute onboarding per user; weekly usage reporting (deployments, active use, skill output, blockers).
Qualifications
- 2–3 years in a customer-facing technical role: presales, technical support, IT project management, customer success engineering, or similar (5+ years need not apply).
- 6+ months of device management / deployment experience (MDM, imaging, fleet rollout).
- Bilingual English/Chinese — you'll support Chinese-speaking executives and English-speaking clients.
- Based in Dallas, available onsite and for travel.
Required Skills
- Strong communication, curiosity, and initiative — you connect scattered dots into something coherent.
Preferred Skills
- Bonus: chatbot / AI agent implementation experience; consulting or services-delivery background; familiarity with bots or APIs on Lark, Feishu, Slack, or Teams.
What won't fit this role
- Pure ops: only break/fix tickets, never presented a solution to a user.
- Pure sales: only decks, never delivered anything hands-on.
