Job summary

DocuSign in San Francisco seeks an AI & Data Security intern to help build and secure the next generation of our AI-powered agreement platform. You’ll work on secure-by-design workflows, tooling improvements, and vulnerability testing under the guidance of senior leaders.

This 3-month internship offers hybrid in-office and remote work, exposure to AI security tooling or offensive security tracks, and opportunities to present your project and business impact to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028
• Demonstrated development experience in Python, Java, or C#
• Experience with AI/ML security threats (prompt injection, adversarial attacks, data poisoning, model inversion)
• Experience in AI automation, system integrations, and/or offensive security testing methodologies
• Experience with data loss prevention (DLP) and data security posture management (DSPM)
• This role is not eligible for CPT, OPT or sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Support the optimization of security tooling, including AI guardrails, and evaluate integration of traditional security controls with AI protections
• Participate in testing of new AI models and tools to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
• Map current security workflows and build automation to scale the program
• Create and maintain documentation on testing methodologies and vulnerabilities
• Track security KPIs and design test cases with dashboards for leadership
• Present progress and final project recommendations to stakeholders
