RAND is hiring a Visiting AI Security Resident to join the CAST program in the GER Division. You will lead projects at the intersection of AI security, policy analysis, and software infrastructure, delivering actionable findings to government and industry leaders.

The role emphasizes rigorous threat modeling, tools development, and clear technical communication. The position is a three-year term with potential renewal and longer-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytic and communication skills, written and oral.
• Ability to develop rigorous threat models and identify vulnerabilities.
• Experience leading complex projects and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C/C++.
• Experience with government cybersecurity policy is a plus.

Responsibilities
