Job summary

Deloitte Technology US (DT - US) seeks a Manager in AI Security Engineering to secure AI/ML and GenAI deployments across high-visibility initiatives. You will lead hands-on security engineering, mentor engineers, and influence cross‑functional teams while embedding security into the SDLC and governing risk and compliance.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on delivery, focusing on secure design, risk mitigation, data protection, and responsible innovation across product and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration
• 6+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, cybersecurity, and/or including AI/ML with hands-on delivery
• Minimum 1 year of people and/or process management experience

Responsibilities

• Secure, outcome-driven delivery: design AI-enabled solutions secure by design with risk mitigation.
• Hands-on AI Security Engineering: contribute to architecture, design, and development of AI/ML and GenAI with embedded security controls.
• AI risk identification and mitigation: address prompt injection, data leakage, model manipulation, and misuse with practical safeguards.
• Technical leadership and advocacy: act as a trusted technical voice for secure AI engineering.
• Engineering excellence with security focus: maintain high code quality, scalability, and security with reusable patterns.
• Iterative and responsible innovation: enable rapid experimentation with security guardrails.
• Cross-functional collaboration: partner with product, engineering, cybersecurity, and risk teams to embed security.
• Standards and best practices: apply evolving AI security standards in DevSecOps and MLOps pipelines.
• Communication and influence: articulate risks and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
