Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking an AI Security Engineer to join the AI Security Engineering Team within SCS. You will work with senior developers to secure AI systems across the enterprise and help build internal AI security libraries.

You will develop validators, protect against insecure execution, support redaction and PII protection, and ensure code quality with unit tests. The role emphasizes collaboration, security-minded coding, and delivering reliable features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Basic programming skills in Java, .NET or Python.
• Understanding of secure coding principles and OWASP basics.
• Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD tools.
• Exposure to or strong interest in cloud AI/ML frameworks (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, GCP Vertex AI).
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to write clean, testable code.

Responsibilities

• Develop validators for prompt inputs and output guards against insecure execution.
• Support redaction and PII-protection features and write unit tests.
• Integrate libraries with CI/CD pipelines and common frameworks to improve adoption.
