Job summary

Koniag Data Solutions seeks an experienced AI Security Engineer (Mid) to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered cybersecurity capabilities for a federal client. You will work under the AI Security Engineer Lead to ensure secure, governed AI solutions across enterprise environments.

The role requires hands-on ML development, AI governance knowledge, and the ability to obtain necessary clearances. Primary duties include threat analytics, SIEM enhancements, and compliant, automated workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years in IT or cybersecurity with AI security engineering experience.
• Experience developing, training, and deploying ML models for security analytics.
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into enterprise security tools.
• Familiarity with FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and AI governance guidelines.
• Ability to obtain and maintain MBI or higher, PIV credentials; Top Secret eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI-powered security capabilities.
• Develop ML models for anomaly detection and threat analytics.
• Implement AI-driven SIEM enhancements with Microsoft Sentinel.
• Automate cybersecurity workflows and AI-driven compliance monitoring.
• Document AI security activities and support ISSO/SCA teams.
