Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst for AI training projects. This remote hourly contract role focuses on evaluating real-world security scenarios, incident data, and control failures to inform AI security understanding.

You will work asynchronously across enterprise environments, with flexible scheduling and potential ongoing work. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in security roles and is comfortable with firewalls, EDR, IAM, and SIEMs, capable of clearly explaining

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles.
• Comfortable working with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security tools, IAM systems, and SIEMs.
• Strong understanding of how real organizations deploy and operate security controls in production.
• Able to explain complex security issues clearly — root causes, failure modes, and downstream impact.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and reliable when working independently.

Responsibilities

• Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios across modern enterprise stacks.
• Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to determine what went wrong and why.
• Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on real operational data.
• Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI systems.
• Clearly articulate root causes, attacker techniques, and business impact in structured formats.
• Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments that fit your schedule.
