Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Security Architect to be the trusted security expert for our largest enterprise customers, focusing on healthcare and life sciences. You will address questions about Claude's architecture, data handling, and deployment options.

In this pre-sales role, you will lead security reviews, collaborate with CISOs and compliance teams, and work with product/engineering to align on security requirements and roadmap priorities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise security, cloud architecture, or technical pre-sales.
• Experience navigating healthcare and life sciences compliance (HIPAA, GxP, HITECH, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR).
• Engagement with CISOs, security teams, and compliance officers at large enterprises.
• Strong understanding of cloud deployment models and security controls.
• Excellent communication to explain complex security topics to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary security and compliance expert during customer engagements.
• Lead technical deep-dives on network architecture, data residency, API security, and audit logging.
• Support security reviews, vendor assessments, and due diligence with detailed documentation.
• Collaborate with GTM and Applied AI teams to align on strategy and deployment plans.
• Develop security collateral and reference architectures for regulated industries.
• Travel regularly to customer sites for security workshops and architecture reviews.
