Job summary

Ford is seeking a senior leader to integrate AI safety into the FuSa program across ADAS/AD, driver monitoring, and connected AI. You will lead the Health Dashboard initiative, align safety with quality and cyber standards, and drive a multi-year AI-safety governance roadmap.

The role requires deep automotive AI safety expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and strong leadership to mature the enterprise AI/FuSa safety posture and evidence across programs.

Qualifications

• MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Embedded Systems.
• Experience in AI safety in automotive.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 and SOTIF.

Responsibilities

• FuSa/AI technical leadership to ensure embedded software safety.
• Lead AI safety dashboard development with maturity metrics.
• Provide strategic direction for safety within cross-functional teams.
• Define and deploy maturity models and safety frameworks for safe AI development.
• Collaborate with product, program management, validation, software, hardware, design, integration and architecture teams to mature AI/FuSa health metrics.
• Apply system engineering, risk analysis, and root-cause analysis to software gaps.
• Align FuSa, Cyber and Quality Assurance to drive maturity and improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement of software development and deployment processes.
• Communicate health status and risks to executive leadership.
