Job summary

Citi is seeking a senior AI risk and controls leader in Getzville, NY to define and govern the enterprise AI risk posture. You will oversee risk assessments, approvals, and control design across AI assets, while guiding a high-performing team and engaging with executive governance bodies.

The role requires deep AI risk knowledge, regulatory awareness (EU AI Act, NIST RMF), and proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across technology, compliance, and operations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of risk management within a large global financial institution.
• 8+ years in senior management across multiple disciplines.
• Proven ability to lead VP/Director level teams in a matrix org.
• Deep knowledge of AI governance, EU AI Act, NIST RMF, and related risk disciplines.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex AI risk concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Exercise delegated approval authority for AI use cases and assets.
• Lead independent risk-based reviews of AI testing results and control design.
• Monitor AI use case performance and escalate material issues.
• Assess impact of new AI use cases on processes and controls.
• Define and drive strategic multi-year roadmap for AI risk framework.
• Build and develop a high-performing team and represent AI risk at governance forums.
