Job summary

Truist is seeking a senior data architect to design data architecture standards and solutions across data engineering, data platforms, AI/ML platforms, and related self-service tools. You will partner with technology and business teams to translate requirements into scalable data architectures.

You will lead conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, oversee centralized models, and align projects with the data strategy and enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in CS, analytics, data engineering, finance or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of enterprise architecture, solution architecture, data architecture or software delivery.
• Experience building enterprise data management and governance programs.
• Expert problem solving and ability to define detailed strategies.
• Experience in regulated environments and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees data architecture for a specific BU/CF and collaborates closely with Enterprise Architecture.
• Responsible for aligning data projects to the standards of the data strategy and enterprise architecture.
• Accountable for defining the conceptual, logical, and physical data models for their BU/CF.
• Instituting data architecture methodology and centralized model repository governance.
• Partner with technology and BU/CF teams to architect solutions for audit issues and controls.
• Manage the application inventory for their BU/CF and map to data architecture.
• Provide data architecture review and approval as part of governance boards.
• Translate BU/CF requirements into technical implementations and schemas.
• Design proof-of-concept system prototypes and stay current with emerging tech.
