Job summary

Mulligan Funding, a San Diego–based fintech lender serving SMBs, is seeking an AI Product Manager to embed inside core AI initiatives. You will lead discovery with SMEs, map daily workflows, and drive end-to-end design from initial concept to production-ready specifications, partnering with business teams and specialist engineers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in product management or related role with AI-enabled products.
• Experience leading structured discovery with domain SMEs.
• Experience authoring clear product artefacts (maps, briefs, requirements).
• Comfortable managing ambiguity and shaping undefined problems end-to-end.
• Experience coordinating with external vendors or partners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions mapping current processes, decisions, pain points, and cycle times.
• Translate insights into an AI transformation design brief from scratch.
• Collaborate with AI Product Director to produce design briefs and evaluate solutions.
• Manage day-to-day partner interface, track progress, and enforce design to spec.
