Job description

About the Role

We're hiring AI product engineers: people who understand the customer's problem, use AI to build the solution, and own the result all the way to production. This role is for recent graduates, and we're bringing on a small group at once in Austin.

AI writes most of our code now, so the hard part is knowing what to build, checking whether the AI built it right, and making sure a center director can use it. The AI builds exactly what the ticket says, including where the ticket was wrong. It invents patterns we don't use, and it skips the empty state, the error message, and the center that's configured differently. Your job is to catch those things before they ship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take tickets from idea to production, about five a week once you're up to speed
  • Use AI agents every day to write code, then review what they wrote against the ticket and against how a real person will use it
  • Ask questions about the problem behind a ticket before you build
  • Find the cases the ticket didn't mention, and write down which ones you covered and why
  • Confirm your work runs correctly in production yourself
  • Explain any part of what you shipped: what it does, where it lives, and why it works that way
Qualifications
Required
  • A recent degree in computer science or a related field, or graduating by December 2026, or projects that show the same skills
  • Something you built on your own, and the ability to explain who it's for
  • Uses AI tools every day and checks their work
  • Able to read code you didn't write and tell whether it's right
  • Wants a demanding job where output is visible every week
Preferred
  • Experience with our stack: TypeScript, React, React Native, and Node. If you don't know it yet, you'll need to learn it quickly, with AI's help.
Work Environment
  • Hybrid: in person 2 to 3 days a week at a coworking space in Austin, TX, with our CEO and the rest of the group, and the other days from wherever you want
  • Full-time, roughly 40 to 50 hours a week
  • Output is measured weekly as tickets released to production, and everyone on the team sees the number
The First 90 Days

The first 90 days are a trial period. We're hiring a small group at once, and not everyone may stay past day 90. Here's how it works:

  • The bar is shipped work: tickets released to production, checked by you, at the quality we review together each week. Once you're up to speed, that's about five a week.
  • You'll know where you stand every week, in writing, so nothing at day 90 is a surprise.
  • At day 90 we decide. If you've met the bar, you stay on and your pay goes up. If you haven't, we tell you why, in person.

We're telling you this before you apply because it's the part most job posts leave out.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary of $80,000 - $110,000, with a raise for those who stay on after day 90

  • Health Reimbursement (QSEHRA):

    • Up to $500/month (individual)
    • Up to $750/month (family)
  • PTO: Flexible, non-accrual policy (20–25 days/year encouraged)

  • A laptop and paid AI tools

Why Seniorverse
  • Real users from your first week
  • Work directly with the founders
  • What you ship reaches real centers, often the same week
Interview Process
  1. A one-minute video, submitted with your application
  2. A 30-minute call with our CEO about who you are, what you want, and whether this pace fits your life
  3. A review exercise: we give you a few real tickets and what was delivered for each, and you tell us what's right, what's missing, and what you'd ask. Then you walk us through it live. It takes about two hours.

We decide within two weeks of receiving your video.

About Seniorverse

Seniorverse is the software adult day centers run on: attendance, care tasks, medication records, billing, transportation, and state and Medicaid compliance, all in one platform. Adult day centers care for older adults during the day so their families can work. Most of them run on paper, spreadsheets, and software that wasn't built for them. We're a small seed-stage team fixing that, one center at a time.

Seniorverse is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
