Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Product Design Lead for AI Labs to shape design vision and craft for AI-powered products. You will partner with senior leaders across PM, research, and engineering to translate AI capabilities into trustworthy, testable experiences.

This self-directed role requires framing ambiguous problems, aligning partners, and moving quickly from idea to prototype to shipped experience, mentoring designers along the way.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience shipping complex, high-craft products at scale.
• Experience leading design programs across multiple teams or product areas with autonomy and minimal direction.
• Ability to frame ambiguous problems and align senior leaders on priorities and tradeoffs.
• Hands-on prototyping in code, with examples of accelerating decisions.
• Experience designing AI/ML-powered or data-intensive products, with generative AI UX considerations.
• A portfolio showing systems thinking, interaction design, and visual craft.
• Experience mentoring designers and elevating team quality (not required to be formal management).
• Experience partnering closely with engineering on technical implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale, cross-functional design programs from concept to launch and iteration.
• Frame ambiguous problem spaces and align priorities with senior leaders.
• Influence product direction, roadmaps, and tradeoffs.
• Prototype in code (HTML/CSS/JS, React) to test ideas with users and partners.
• Define AI interaction patterns including generative UI and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Create a coherent experience across AI Labs products and the Salesforce/Agentforce platform.
• Use research, usability testing, data, and experimentation to ground design decisions.
• Mentor designers and contribute to design systems and guidelines for AI experiences.
• Present design rationale and strategy to cross-functional leaders.
