Job summary

BNY is seeking an AI Process Project Manager for a 12-month contract to drive digital transformation in accounting and finance. The role is based in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL, with four onsite days per week and close collaboration with business stakeholders.

You will lead process re-engineering, automation, and AI-enabled improvements across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong project management, technical acumen in Python/JavaScript/SQL, experience with JIRA, and a passion

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, process optimization, business transformation, workflow redesign, prompt engineering, or technology implementation.
  • Strong experience managing projects, coordinating stakeholders, and driving initiatives through structured delivery processes.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing JIRA for project tracking, workflow management, backlog prioritization, dependency management, and status reporting.
  • Technical proficiency with Python, JavaScript, SQL, and AI Prompt Engineering.
  • Experience working with low-code/no-code platforms, automation tools, or workflow technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Xceptor, Power BI, AI platforms, or similar automation and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current-state workflows to identify gaps and inefficiencies, and design scalable future-state operating models.
  • Support and coordinate transformation initiatives across the project lifecycle from planning to post-launch support.
  • Use JIRA to manage backlogs, milestones, dependencies, and risks with transparent status reporting.
  • Partner with business and operational stakeholders to understand processes, document workflows, and develop streamlined solutions.
  • Support the implementation of automation, AI, and digital solutions to reduce manual processes and improve decision-making.
  • Establish governance, monitoring, and control frameworks while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

We are seeking an AI Process Project Manager to support a large-scale digital transformation initiative focused on modernizing operations within the accounting and finance organization. This individual will partner with business stakeholders to assess existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and drive process re-engineering efforts while leveraging automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled solutions to improve operational effectiveness. This is a 12-month contract opportunity located in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL, requiring 4 days onsite per week. The ideal candidate combines strong project management capabilities, technical expertise, and a passion for process improvement, automation, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Re-Engineering: Analyze current-state workflows, identify process gaps and inefficiencies, and design scalable future-state operating models that improve operational effectiveness.
  • Project Management & Delivery: Support and coordinate transformation initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, project planning, execution, testing, implementation, and post-launch support.
  • JIRA Management: Utilize JIRA to manage project backlogs, track milestones, monitor dependencies, document requirements, identify risks and blockers, and provide transparent reporting on project status and deliverables.
  • Workflow Optimization: Partner with business and operational stakeholders to understand existing processes, document workflows, and develop solutions that simplify and streamline operations.
  • Digital Transformation & AI: Support the implementation of automation, AI, and digital solutions to reduce manual processes, improve decision-making, and enhance productivity across the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Establish governance, monitoring, and control frameworks while fostering a culture of innovation and ongoing process enhancement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.

  • Agile project delivery experience and familiarity with digital transformation programs.
  • Prior experience within financial services, banking, accounting, finance operations, or middle office environments.
  • Relevant certifications in Alteryx, Power BI, AI, Agile, or project management methodologies.
