Job summary

The Engineer, AI & Process Automation at Carlyle’s Corporate Services Technology embeds with Finance, Tax, HR, Legal, and Marketing to deliver AI-driven automation across enterprise workflows. You own delivery from discovery to production, partnering with business users to translate problems into working software in weeks, not quarters.

You will build AI native applications using Claude Code and Cursor, create agentic workflows, copilots, and ensure deployments meet enterprise standards for

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience, including 2+ years building and shipping production AI applications.
• Fluency with modern AI coding agents and the surrounding DevOps stack (version control, CI/CD, testing, containers, cloud deployment).
• Experience across structured and unstructured data at scale, including document intelligence and OCR pipelines.
• Strong coding fundamentals in Python and TypeScript/Java, with end-to-end delivery in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Embed with business stakeholders to scope and ship AI and automation products that change how Carlyle works.
• Own delivery on the products you build: discovery, requirements, build, deployment, adoption, and iteration.
• Build AI native applications including agentic workflows, LLM powered analytics, document pipelines, and copilots.
• Automate high-volume Corporate Services processes end to end, retiring manual work.
• Prototype quickly, then harden in weeks and operate at firm scale, with observable results.
