Job summary

Carlyle is hiring an Engineer, AI & Process Automation in Washington, DC to join Corporate Services Technology. You will embed with Finance, Tax, Human Capital, Legal & Compliance, Marketing & Communications, and other enterprise teams to deliver AI-driven products that transform workflows.

You will own end-to-end delivery, from discovery to production, focusing on rapid prototyping and scalable solutions. You will use Claude Code, Cursor, and a modern DevOps stack to build agentic workflows,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and concentration in CS, software engineering, math, physics, data science, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience
• 2+ years shipping production AI applications (LLM powered apps, agentic workflows, or copilots)
• Fluency with modern AI coding agents and DevOps tools (Claude Code, Cursor) and cloud deployment

Responsibilities

• Embed with business stakeholders to scope and ship AI and automation products
• Own delivery from discovery through deployment and adoption
• Build AI-native applications including agentic workflows and LLM-powered analytics
• Automate high-volume Corporate Services processes end to end
• Write production-quality code with rigorous engineering practices
