DLA Piper seeks a seasoned Counsel to join its national Data Protection, Privacy and Security practice in Palo Alto. You will advise emerging growth, venture-backed, and technology clients on privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, and regulatory matters across the corporate lifecycle.

Collaborate with corporate, M&A, employment, and product teams to deliver integrated counsel. The ideal candidate will have 8–15 years of relevant experience, strong drafting skills, and California bar admission,

Competenze

• 8–15 years of privacy, cybersecurity, or regulatory counseling experience.
• Deep familiarity with California privacy laws and AI regulations.
• Experience with venture-backed tech companies.
• Strong drafting and client counseling skills.
• Bar admission to California.

Mansioni

• Advise on privacy and data protection laws for tech clients in US and abroad.
• Counsel on AI governance, data use, and regulatory obligations.
• Draft and negotiate privacy and data security provisions in tech agreements.
• Support venture-backed companies from formation through exit.
• Conduct privacy and cybersecurity due diligence for financings and M&A.
• Advise on incident response preparedness and regulatory investigations.
• Develop privacy notices, policies, and data processing agreements.
• Work with product, engineering, security, and leadership to embed privacy-by-design.
• Collaborate with other practices to deliver coordinated counsel.
