Job summary

Staples Digital Solutions is seeking a Sr. Manager AI Engineering to lead strategy, development, and delivery of enterprise AI solutions for pricing and decision intelligence.

You will manage AI and Data Engineering teams, guide technical roadmaps, and partner with business and technology leaders to drive growth and profitability. You will oversee capabilities like price elasticity modeling, demand forecasting, and optimization, while championing AI-assisted software development and cloud-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field or equivalent
• 10+ years delivering enterprise AI/data/analytics/software solutions
• 5+ years leading technical/AI/data teams
• 3+ years supporting pricing/revenue/forecasting/retail analytics
• Experience deploying production AI/ML solutions
• Proficiency with Python and SQL in AI/ML environments
• Experience with cloud-based data/AI platforms
• Translating business requirements into technical solutions with measurable outcomes

Responsibilities

• Lead roadmap and delivery for pricing AI and forecasting solutions
• Oversee price elasticity modeling, demand forecasting, promotion optimization, revenue optimization
• Apply ML, statistics, forecasting, and optimization to business problems
• Manage AI/ML platforms and MLOps in cloud environments (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure AI)
• Set performance metrics and monitor business impact; drive AI solution improvements
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, Merchandising, Revenue Management, Digital, Sales, and Technology
• Promote AI-assisted software development to improve delivery speed and quality
• Manage resources, budgets, and priorities across multiple projects
• Coach and develop AI Engineering and Data Engineering talent
