Job summary

Stord Inc. is hiring software engineers to take features from idea to production using AI coding agents, plan, build, test, and deploy with ownership over outcomes.

You will guide agents, review outputs, and ensure high quality software across commerce, fulfillment, and platform domains. You will work with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Elixir/Phoenix, tackling ambiguous problems, designing scalable architectures, and collaborating with product, design, and operators to deliver reliable, secure

Qualifications

• 3 to 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping and running production software.
• Hands-on experience building software with agentic workflows to plan, code, test, and deploy.
• Strong engineering fundamentals: system design, data modeling, APIs, testing, and debugging in production.
• Ability to work confidently in core languages with agents (TypeScript/Node.js/React, Elixir/Phoenix).
• Ownership and follow-through: ship, monitor, and improve your work.
• Clear communication with engineers, product managers, operators, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Take features from idea to production with your team, using AI coding agents to plan, build, test, and deploy.
• Give agents the right context, direct their work, and review their output critically.
• You're accountable for the quality of what ships, not the model.
• Own what you ship after launch: monitor it, fix it, and keep improving it.
• Shape specs with Product and Design, bringing a technical view on feasibility and trade-offs.
• Design and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure systems that stay simple and maintainable as they grow.
