Job summary

Stord, The Consumer Experience Company, is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead the AI Platform team. You will own the architecture of the AI platform, drive technical strategy, and raise the quality bar across the team.

You will work hands-on in a TypeScript-based stack (Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects) and mentor engineers to scale impact. You will collaborate with product and data science to deliver agentic AI features, orchestrate tools, prompts, and integrations, and ensure

Qualifications

• TypeScript in production
• Edge computing with Cloudflare Workers or similar
• Experience shipping AI/LLM-powered features
• Experience with data streaming systems
• API design and integration
• Strong SQL fundamentals

• Instrumentation and observability in production

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and architecture of Stord's AI platform
• Drive technical strategy with PMs and engineering managers
• Evaluate build-vs-buy, tools, and patterns with a production-first mindset
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, and releases
• Hands-on design and build of AI platform components
• Mentor engineers and scale team impact
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers on integration boundaries
