Counterpart, a remote-insurance tech company in the United States, is seeking a Product Engineer to own problems end-to-end and deliver AI-augmented solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders, guide AI agents, and ensure secure, scalable implementations across the stack.

You will work with distributed teams, translate business needs into concrete technical requirements, and drive outcomes from concept to deployment while maintaining high standards for performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production web applications across the full stack.
• End-to-end ownership from idea to deployment with auth, monitoring and docs.
• Proficiency with AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI Codex, etc.)
• Experience gathering requirements directly from users and partners.
• Experience owning both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Experience collaborating with distributed, remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the problem by translating business intents into technical requirements.
• Write production-ready code across the stack (Python, Django, AWS, React, PostgreSQL).
• Direct AI agents and review their outputs with domain depth.
• Coordinate projects across multiple engineers and AI agents.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and system design.
• Verify end-to-end results and monitor deployed services.
