Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in the United States seeks an Enterprise Architect to own the end-to-end target architecture for a large PLM modernization in Aerospace & Defense, anchored on Siemens Teamcenter and connected across engineering, manufacturing and certification ecosystems.

You will drive design of AI-ready, API-open platforms, end-to-end digital thread, and governance across complex multi-system landscapes with onshore/offshore delivery experience and a focus on security and scalability.

Qualifications

• 18+ years in enterprise/solution architecture, with PLM landscapes in scope.
• Proven design of integrated architectures spanning PLM, CAD, ERP and MES/MOM; strong command of Siemens Teamcenter's enterprise architect role.
• Experience designing AI-ready / API-open platforms and understanding of agentic integration patterns for augmented engineering.
• Experience architecting for onshore–offshore delivery models that mirror a client organization.
• Experience in Aerospace & Defense or another regulated, complex-product industry.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern the target-state PLM architecture centered on Siemens Teamcenter, covering CAD management, process planning, and integrations with ERP, MES/MOM, ALM, and certification systems.
• Design and maintain an end-to-end digital thread that ensures traceability and data continuity across requirements, engineering, manufacturing, change management, and certification processes.
• Architect and enable an AI-powered, agentic-ready PLM ecosystem through open APIs, structured data accessibility, MCP/agentic integration layers, and support for augmented engineering use cases.
• Establish the AI-Powered PLM strategy and roadmap, identifying high-value AI opportunities while enabling an AI-accelerated software development lifecycle.
• Define the enterprise integration strategy, ensuring interoperability between Teamcenter and adjacent systems while maintaining scalability, security, and performance.
• Lead architecture decision-making, including build-versus-configure evaluations, platform sizing, non-functional requirements, upgradeability, and TCO optimization.
• Advise on future-state operating models, architecture direction, investment priorities, and phased transformation roadmaps.
• Establish and enforce architecture governance, standards, and best practices, ensuring alignment with target-state principles.
