Job summary

Aline, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to build enterprise AI features on the .NET/Azure stack. You’ll own features from day one and work with senior engineers across product, QA, and customer-facing teams.

You will design AI-assisted capabilities, integrate Azure OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, and ship production C#/.NET services with robust CI/CD workflows, while ensuring governance and safety in a healthcare-adjacent environment.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of software engineering experience (or a strong recent graduate with demonstrable project, internship, or research experience at equivalent depth) — backend or full‑stack, building and shipping applications.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core, Web API, dependency injection, async patterns).
• Familiarity with Azure — App Services, Azure Functions. Exposure to Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, or Azure AI services is a plus. Experience using LLMs in application code — calling Azure OpenAI or Anthropic APIs, managing prompts, parsing structured responses.
• Solid fundamentals in SQL and relational databases — PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar.
• Familiarity with REST API design, JSON serialization, and service‑to‑service integration patterns.
• Git version control and comfort working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Responsibilities

• Build AI‑Powered product features across Aline’s product suite (search, onboarding workflows, intelligent notifications, content generation, conversational interfaces).
• Support agentic workflows by designing multi‑step agent orchestrations and tool interfaces; implement state management and error handling.
• Ship production software by writing clean C# / .NET code, integrating AI capabilities, and enabling CI/CD pipelines in GitHub.
• Ensure compliance and reliability with guardrails, data isolation, SOC 2/HIPAA awareness, and safe content handling.
