Peraton seeks a Data/Operations Research Analyst to be embedded in a program, becoming deeply fluent in data, stakeholders, and rhythms to deliver decision-ready insights. The role blends data analytics with operations research to fuse diverse inputs into coherent analyses using the Generative AI Platform.

You will design dashboards, recurring reports, and on-demand analyses for program leadership and customers, while shaping platform usability and reporting needs with feedback to engineering

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD
• Bachelor's degree in a related analytical field
• 5-10 years of analytical experience in data/ops research roles
• Experience producing structured analytical products from diverse data sources
• Experience building dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports used by leadership or customers
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel; BI/visualization tools like Power BI/Tableau/Looker
• Proficiency in Python or R for data wrangling and reporting automation
• Strong grounding in descriptive stats, trend analysis, segmentation, and forecasting/optimization/simulation

Responsibilities

• Embed within a program to develop deep customer intimacy and translate understanding into data-driven products
• Conduct broad data and operations research analyses using enterprise AI platform
• Serve as a power user of the Generative AI Platform and optimize workflows
• Acquire, profile, clean, and integrate data from disparate sources
• Apply quantitative methods to answer program and customer questions
• Conduct literature reviews, stakeholder interviews, and process analyses to synthesize findings
• Create dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports for leadership and customers
• Translate questions into structured analytical plans and repeatable workflows
• Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, traceability, and methodological soundness
• Develop reusable templates, prompt libraries, and reporting components
• Proactively surface trends, anomalies, and risks for program leadership
• Provide feedback to engineering and product teams on usability and capabilities
• Support demonstrations, pilots, and proofs-of-concept
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high-value analytics use cases
• Document data sources, definitions, and limitations for reproducibility
• Assist training and enablement of analysts and program staff
