Job summary

PIMCO Europe Ltd. in Austin, TX seeks an entry-level Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to join the Cyber Incident Response Team and Security Operations Center. You will gain hands-on exposure to threat detection, incident response, and enterprise security tooling while leveraging AI-assisted workflows.

As part of a structured graduate development track, you will rotate through incident response, event monitoring, and behavioral analysis, with growth toward senior roles and engineering paths.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain tech to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills; able to operate with minimal supervision during active events.
• Experience with core cybersecurity toolsets: EDR, Email Security Gateway, SIEM, Vulnerability Management, IAM, and CASB.
• Genuine enthusiasm for using AI tools as part of daily workflow.
• Ability to spot manual, repetitive work and automate it.
• Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in cybersecurity trends and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Respond to cyber incidents with increasing independence, applying documented playbooks and escalation procedures.
• Investigate and triage security alerts, correlating data across multiple tools to determine scope and severity.
• Use AI-assisted investigation tools to accelerate triage, enrich context, and identify patterns across incidents.
• Escalate significant or ambiguous events to senior Engineers and Incident Responders with clear findings.
• Perform continuous monitoring of security events, logs, and behavioral indicators across the environment.
• Support Phishing Email Response, including analysis, remediation, and user follow-up.
• Contribute to and maintain runbooks, knowledge-base articles, and standard operating procedures.
