Job summary

PIMCO's Cybersecurity organization seeks an entry-level Graduate Analyst to support the Cyber Incident Response Team and SOC in Austin, Texas. You'll build a foundation in security operations, gaining hands-on exposure to threat detection, incident response, and enterprise security tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a cybersecurity-related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and self-sufficiency during active events.
• Familiarity with core cybersecurity toolsets (EDR, SIEM, CASB, etc.).
• Interest in using AI tools as part of daily workflow.

Responsibilities

• Respond to cyber incidents with growing independence using documented playbooks and escalation procedures.
• Investigate and triage security alerts across multiple tools to determine scope and severity.
• Use AI-assisted investigation tools to accelerate triage and root-cause analysis.
• Escalate significant events with clear, documented findings to senior staff.
• Document and share effective AI-assisted workflows with the team.
