Job summary

The Nuclear Company is seeking a Cost Control Specialist to support project cost management across our portfolio. You will develop cost reports, establish baselines, and enable AI-driven forecasting to improve EAC projections.

Collaboration with engineering, procurement, and project controls is essential to ensure accurate cost performance and timely risk mitigation. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in project controls with cost focus, proficiency in Power BI/Tableau, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• 5+ years of experience in project controls focusing on cost management/cost controls.
• Solid understanding of project lifecycle and work breakdown structures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools for cost dashboards and reporting.
• Familiarity with AI/machine learning for predictive analytics in project controls.

Responsibilities

• Cost Reporting: Develop periodic cost reports and provide analysis to Control Account managers and leadership.
• Establish and maintain a cost baseline with PM Team to measure the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and other teams to collect inputs for the cost baseline.
• Monitor contractor and subs/vendor cost performance and report deviations to leadership.
• Identify and manage risks; perform trend analysis to mitigate threats and enhance opportunities.
• Monitor Estimate at Complete for project and control accounts to align with baseline; raise early warnings for deviations.
• Use BI tools to build dynamic cost dashboards and deliver real-time insights to leadership.
• Leverage AI/ML tools to improve predictive cost analysis and EAC projections.
