Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking a Project Cost Analyst for a high-value data center program near Fort Worth. You will own the cost baseline, WBS coding, and Capex approvals, coordinating with construction, engineering and finance teams.

You will produce cash flow models, EAC reports, and variance dashboards, ensuring SOX compliance and audit readiness across the project lifecycle, with exposure to a $50M+ program and potential annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or related field; equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years of project controls or cost engineering on large-scale capital construction ($50M+).
• Experience maintaining budgets, WBS structures and managing Capex approvals.
• Proficiency with cost management/PMIS platforms such as Primavera P6/EPPM, SAP, Procore or e-Builder.
• Strong Excel skills; Power BI or Tableau a plus.
• Data center/energy infra or hyperscale construction experience; knowledge of GMP, lump sum, IDIQ contracts.

Responsibilities

• Govern the project cost baseline and WBS coding across the program.
• Reconcile commitments vs. actuals across all cost systems weekly.
• Produce cash flow models, rolling forecasts, EAC reports and variance dashboards.
• Own end-to-end AFE and Capex authorization from package prep through board sign-off.
• Maintain SOX compliance and audit readiness throughout the project lifecycle.

Our client is a leading AI Cloud Service Provider, delivering large-scale GPU clusters for AI training and inference through a vertically integrated platform of grid-connected land and data centers in renewable-rich regions across North America, Europe and APAC.

They're looking for a Project Cost Analyst to own the development and maintenance of integrated schedules and cost controls on a large-scale, mission-critical data center program, working at the intersection of construction, engineering and advanced cooling and power technologies, reporting to the Senior Project Controls Specialist. The role is based out of the Fort Worth.

This is a genuine opportunity to own the cost baseline and Capex process on a $50M+ construction program, helping deliver some of the most technically sophisticated facilities in the industry, in a hyperscale AI infrastructure business at a genuinely exciting stage of its growth.

Responsibilities:

• Govern the project cost baseline and WBS coding across the program
• Reconcile commitments vs. actuals across all cost systems on a weekly basis
• Produce cash flow models, rolling forecasts, estimate-at-completion reports and executive-ready variance dashboards integrating schedule and cost data
• Own the end-to-end AFE and Capex authorization process, from package preparation through board-level sign-off and lender draw support
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements and audit readiness throughout the project lifecycle

Skills/Must have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or related field (equivalent experience considered)
• 3-6 years' project controls or cost engineering experience on large-scale capital construction projects ($50M+)
• Demonstrated experience maintaining project budgets, WBS structures and managing Capex approval workflows
• Proficiency with cost management/PMIS platforms such as Primavera P6/EPPM, SAP, Procore or e-Builder
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling); Power BI or Tableau a plus
• Data center, energy infrastructure, oil & gas or hyperscale construction experience, with a solid understanding of construction contracts (GMP, lump sum, IDIQ) and change order management
• Up to 30% annual bonus
