Job summary

Superhuman is building the AI productivity platform with a focus on a powerful Mail backend that supports calendar syncing, scheduling, and AI-driven workflows. The backend team works across desktop, web, and mobile, building high-throughput services and real-time data pipelines.

As a Back-End Engineer, you will use Go, Postgres, Kubernetes, and AWS, collaborating with ML/AI, Product, and Front-End engineers to ship AI-powered features and ensure reliability, scalability, and thorough

Qualifications

• 5+ years of back-end engineering experience.
• Experience with production systems at scale.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiar with AI-powered systems and ML pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate high-throughput production services powering AI agent orchestration.
• Design core platform services: schedulers, history, protocols, APIs.
• Collaborate across Go, Mail, Docs, and Enterprise teams.
• Work with ML/AI, Product, and Front-End engineers to ship features end-to-end.
• Develop infrastructure as code with high availability.
• Contribute to documentation, testing, and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers.
