Job summary

Charles Schwab in Omaha, NE seeks a Senior Manager, AI Portfolio & Program Management to lead governance and strategic oversight of a growing AI portfolio within Operations. You will translate complex AI initiatives into an integrated view, partner across data, technology, risk, and business teams, and drive measurable business value with executive reporting.

You will influence decisions across a matrixed organization, ensure alignment with priorities, and embed responsible AI considerations

Qualifications

• AI fluency in guiding portfolio investments across data, privacy, risk, and responsible AI considerations.
• Ability to manage complex, concurrent initiatives with clear priorities, milestones, dependencies, and accountability.
• Connect AI investments to strategic priorities and business outcomes for value realization.
• Synthesize delivery, financial, capacity, risk, and outcome data to inform prioritization and tradeoffs.
• Define meaningful measures of portfolio health and realized value.
• Forecast risks and dependencies and drive timely resolution or escalation.
• Build alignment across diverse stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
• Communicate complex information clearly to senior audiences.
• Navigate ambiguity and adapt as AI capabilities evolve to maintain business impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI portfolio management, including intake, prioritization, governance, lifecycle standards, stage gates, and escalation processes.
• Maintain an integrated view of AI initiatives, investments, delivery capacity, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource constraints.
• Establish measures for initiative health, outcomes, benefit realization, forecast vs realized value, and post-implementation results.
• Translate complex portfolio information into concise, executive-ready reporting, insights, and strategic recommendations.
• Identify and manage portfolio risks, cross-initiative dependencies, sequencing conflicts, and delivery blockers.
• Partner across business, technology, data, risk, control, and AI teams to connect initiatives and align priorities.
• Influence decisions and drive commitments across a matrixed organization without direct authority.
• Integrate responsible AI, data, technology, privacy, risk, control, and regulatory considerations into governance and escalation processes.
