Job summary
Novartis seeks an Associate Director for Search & Eval (Platforms & AI) to identify and prioritize external AI-enabled technologies and datasets for accelerated innovation in Biomedicine R&D. You will build landscapes, assess scientific differentiation and data quality, and partner with internal stakeholders to shape partnering recommendations.
You will also support governance through opportunity assessments and portfolio reviews, while representing Novartis in biotech and academic forums.
Qualifications
- Must have high-quality and timely evaluation of AI-enabled R&D opportunities.
- Ability to develop competitive landscapes and strategic insights for AI use cases.
- Experience communicating findings to governance and leadership teams.
Responsibilities
- Support AI-focused search, landscaping, triage, and evaluation across R&D.
- Prepare opportunity summaries and competitive landscapes for internal reviews.
- Assess inbound and sourced AI opportunities for technical differentiation and strategic fit.
- Collaborate with scientific, clinical, data science, legal/IP, procurement, finance, and BD&L teams.
- Develop diligence questions and balanced opportunity assessments.
- Represent Novartis externally in AI and biotech forums.
