Job summary

EY seeks an AI Systems Engineer to build and operate the foundational substrate powering EY’s AI-native platform. You will own the cloud-native platform and Kubernetes stack across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets, ensuring reliability and portability for client environments.

You’ll lead automation, IaC, and security considerations, collaborating with DevOps and security teams to deliver scalable, compliant infrastructure that supports EY’s Agentic AI workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure and large-scale Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes distributions (RKE2, EKS/AKS/GKE, K3s) and full lifecycle management.
• Experience across cloud, on-prem, hybrid, and ideally air-gapped deployment models.
• Strong grounding in cluster networking, storage, and multi-tenancy isolation.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and scheduling (NVAIE/DCGM).
• Proven GitOps/infra-as-code experience (Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, ArgoCD, Crossplane).

Responsibilities

• Own the cluster & cloud-native platform: compute, Kubernetes and scheduling, multi-tenancy.
• Own the infrastructure foundation: Ubuntu/OS, BMC/bare-metal, DPU architecture, and NVAIE.
• Stand up and manage EY Agentic AI environments across cloud and on-prem, with a consistent stack.
• Deliver foundational platform capabilities such as Infrastructure Management, Kubernetes & Scheduling.
• Own cluster lifecycle, autoscaling, GPU pooling/virtualization, and multi-tenancy boundaries.
• Own secure execution and inference with sandboxed execution for isolated model workloads.
• Own cognitive routing and model/prompt selection under latency and cost constraints.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD/CV and GitOps to keep environments reproducible.
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and cross-environment replication for high availability.
