Job summary

Applied Research Solutions (ARS) seeks an AI Systems Engineer to support, operate, and enhance AI platforms across cloud and on-prem environments. This role focuses on operational support, administration, and secure platform management, not model development.

You will manage M365 Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and on-prem AI systems, ensuring data integrity, governance, and cost controls while enabling mission-critical workloads in a hybrid cloud setting.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• 5+ years of cloud/platform/operational engineering experience.
• Hands-on with M365 administration, Azure services, or Azure OpenAI.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• Knowledge of CMMC Level 2 or NIST 800-171 security practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support AI platform workloads across M365 Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and on-prem AI systems.
• Operate AI-related Azure services including identity, networking, and secure service integrations.
• Document, monitor, and secure AI data flows meeting security and governance controls.
• Implement AI security controls including identity governance, DLP, and auditing.
• Monitor AI cost, quotas, and dashboards to optimize usage.
• Support hybrid cloud and on-prem deployment of AI components and Kubernetes workloads.
