Job summary

Exelixis in Alameda, CA is seeking an Engineer II - AI and Agentic to design, build, and deploy production‑grade agentic applications that automate multi‑step IT and business workflows.

You will integrate LLMs, tools, and enterprise data sources into reliable use cases, implement CI/CD, observability, and secure prompting, and contribute reusable components to our platform. Collaboration with product managers and security teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/AI/DS/SE with related experience, or Master’s with relevant experience.
• Hands‑on AI app and agentic workflow experience.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end agentic applications and multi‑agent workflows.
• Convert prototypes into production‑ready services with clear specs and robust error handling.
• Integrate LLMs, prompts, tools, APIs, and enterprise data sources into reliable use cases.
• Implement CI/CD, evaluation harnesses, observability, and artifact versioning.
