Job summary

Computer Services, Inc. (CSI) is seeking an AI Engineer II to independently develop and support AI engineering capabilities for reusable, secure, and scalable AI-assisted software delivery.

You will contribute to AI Harness, agent frameworks, evaluation systems, and developer workflow tools. You will collaborate with engineering teams to translate practical delivery needs into reliable AI-enabled solutions, ensuring production-quality AI applications, safety, and usefulness across AI-supported

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Information Systems, or related field, with typically 5+ years in software or AI engineering roles.
• Strong programming skills, preferably Python and other modern languages.
• Experience building APIs, services, integrations, automated tests, and cloud-based applications.
• Experience with LLM application patterns, prompt engineering, RAG, agent frameworks, LLMOps, evaluation techniques, or AI-enabled development tools is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to independently deliver reliable technical solutions in a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI Harness and platform capabilities, building components, services, and utilities.
• Implement model routing, prompt execution patterns, API integrations, and reusable utilities.
• Improve reliability, performance, observability, and usability of AI engineering tools.
• Support on-call operations for AI-enabled production services, including incident response.
• Develop reusable agents, skills, workflows, and connectors for cross-team use.
• Create evaluation workflows for prompts, agents, tools, and outputs; implement tests and quality benchmarks.
• Apply AI security, governance controls, including logging, access control, and data classification.
• Collaborate with software teams to identify AI-enabled workflow improvements and provide guidance.
