Job summary

Allspring Global Investments seeks an Application Engineer with AI skills to build and enhance the technology platforms supporting Marketing and Distribution, with a focus on agentic automation. Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience with production applications using Python.
• Experience with or understanding of LLM-powered applications, prompt design, and retrieval/grounding concepts.
• Working knowledge of AWS services (ECS, SQS, S3, CloudWatch) and PostgreSQL; exposure to Amazon Bedrock is desirable.
• Familiarity with modern software practices (Git, PR workflows, automated testing, deployment).
• Knowledge of React and TypeScript; ability to contribute across backend and frontend.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support technology platforms enabling Allspring's Marketing/Distribution with a focus on AI and agentic automation.
• Develop scalable solutions across Python services, APIs, integrations, and React/TypeScript apps.
• Build agentic capabilities for the RFP/DDQ platform and extend AI patterns to other use cases.
• Integrate CJM platforms with business apps, services, content repositories, and data sources.
• Collaborate with strategists, owners, QA, and engineers to translate business needs into tech solutions.
• Follow established practices for development, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
