Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer on the Sales Assistant Technology Team in New Jersey. You will drive the Markets Sales AI Platform, building agentic workflows and production-grade systems.

This hands-on role requires solving hard technical challenges and shipping quickly with a strong ownership mindset. Responsibilities include end-to-end platform development, evaluating AI techniques, cross-functional collaboration, and establishing robust engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Degree in CS, Data Science, ML or related field.
• Strong Python coding skills and production code ownership.
• Hands-on AWS, ECS, Bedrock experience.
• Familiar with agentic toolkits such as Google ADK.
• Familiar with evaluation frameworks, LLM observability, or fine-tuning.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Solid understanding of GenAI capabilities and mitigations.
• Ownership mindset and drive to improve broken areas.
• Experience in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting.
• Drive/Build/Own agentic platform end-to-end with UI, routing, memory and evals.
• Evaluate emerging AI techniques and integrate into production.
• Improve quality via evals, error analysis and feedback loops.
• Collaborate with quant research, product, and engineering to onboard agents.
• Build and maintain production-grade, observable systems.
• Contribute to technical direction and coding standards.
• Promote enterprise AI engineering practices and code review discipline.
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams.
