Job summary

Dust is hiring an AI Support Engineer to design, build, and maintain AI systems that reduce support workload. You will run complex support cases and create automation that scales, while treating Support as a product with a measurable impact on ticket categories.

You'll work on infrastructure for AI agents, classification systems, and tooling built on top of Dust, shaping how teams deploy AI at scale. The role offers opportunities across levels (L2-L4) based on experience.

Qualifications

• High technical aptitude: comfortable with APIs, debugging workflows, and lightweight scripting for internal tooling.
• AI fluency at builder level: track record of building custom agents, automations, or workflows using AI tools (Dust, Cursor, Claude Code, n8n, etc.); not just prompting.
• Technical investigation depth: comfortable reading code, analyzing logs, navigating codebases, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
• Bidirectional communication: translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and speak technical language fluently with engineers.
• Interest in or experience with a Build/Run split: operate this way or eager to learn this approach, see support as more than ticket resolution.

Responsibilities

• Build the AI systems that do the work: design, ship, and maintain AI agents and automation workflows.
• Run support when systems fall short: investigate complex issues and provide clear answers to customers.
• Bridge customer pain to product improvements: translate issues into product signals for engineering and product teams.
• Own the feedback loop: ensure escalations are resolved through better documentation, prompts, and tooling.
