We are exploring how AI can be built into how every team operates, with our technical team developing and deploying AI-powered tools. The AI & Operations Associate will work directly with our Operating Partners, owning projects end to end and relocating where the work is needed

Qualifications

• A recent graduate who thinks clearly and learns quickly.
• Genuine AI fluency demonstrated through hands-on experience building with AI tools.
• Ability to earn the trust and confidence of founders and operators with decades of experience in their fields.
• Strong resourcefulness and comfort operating without an established playbook.
• Genuine willingness to work across functions rather than remain within a defined role.
• Able to commute to and work onsite at our office in Bala Cynwyd, PA 4-5 days per week.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 30% annually.

Responsibilities

• Own projects end to end, from initial concept through successful implementation.
• Build with AI on a daily basis (automating workflows, standing up internal tools, and extracting insights from unstructured data).
• Partner directly with executive teams on growth and operational initiatives.
• Identify processes that are costing portfolio companies real money and lead their redesign.
• Take on a wide range of responsibilities as needed, including sales, operations, recruiting, marketing, research, and diligence.

Metro Global Ventures is a boutique investment firm dedicated to nurturing the growth of businesses in our diverse portfolio across various industries. We take a hands-on approach to the growth and development of our portfolio companies, providing them with the resources, support, and collaboration needed to thrive in their industries. We are currently conducting a function-by-function review of each portfolio company to identify how AI can be built into the way every team operates, and our technical team develops and deploys the tools that come out of that work.

The AI & Operations Associate will work directly with our Operating Partners across the portfolio, owning projects end to end and moving to wherever the work is needed most.

What This Looks Like in Practice

Our previous associate spent several months embedded at one of our portfolio companies. He oversaw the development pipeline, met directly with clients, worked department by department to rethink how each team operated, and stayed on through recruiting and product launch.

Responsibilities:
