Job summary

New Relic is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own AI Observability from vision through GA and beyond. You will lead cross‑functional teams, partner with large enterprise customers, and drive pricing, packaging, and feature strategy as this strategic initiative scales.

You will work across engineering and design, using agentic AI workflows to quickly validate ideas and ensure product outcomes align with business goals at scale. This role embraces a flexible, AI‑driven work model.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a product area from early vision through GA and post‑GA growth.
• Experience operating as a senior individual contributor who drives outcomes across teams without formal management authority.
• Demonstrated experience partnering directly with enterprise customers on production AI or LLM systems: tracing, evaluation, governance, cost, or failure modes at scale.
• Regular, current use of multiple concurrent AI agents in your own work, run asynchronously and backed by a verification process you trust instead of manual line‑by‑line review.
• Experience representing a product area in executive‑level strategy and prioritization discussions.
• We’re looking for hands‑on, not just conceptual, with specs, prototypes, evaluation and go‑to‑market work demonstrated across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI Observability roadmap and the business outcomes leadership tracks (adoption, retention, expansion), plus pricing conversations, exec reporting, and cross‑functional escalations.
• Drive multiple engineering and design teams in parallel toward a coherent product vision, without formal authority over them.
• Partner directly with strategic enterprise customers and their platform/infra teams to operationalize AI safely and translate scale issues into product requirements quickly.
• Build working prototypes using agentic AI workflows to pressure‑test ideas before engineering time is committed.
• Represent AI Observability in executive strategy and prioritization discussions, making trade‑off calls when priorities conflict.
• Ship to GA, then iterate on pricing, packaging, and new features GA customers request post‑launch.
