Job summary

Meta is seeking a Systems Engineer for the RTP-NPI team to advance AI/ML initiatives across large-scale data centers. You will drive hardware/software lifecycles, prototype new platforms, and troubleshoot complex issues spanning firmware, drivers, and system validation.

You will collaborate with HW/SW co-design, hardware design, networking, and data center operations to enable production-ready AI servers. A strong background in NICs, RDMA, and TCP/IP is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in AI/ML networking, HPC network evaluation, or related domains.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking measurement tools like iperf.
• Experience with server architecture and Linux.
• Hands-on debugging and troubleshooting across firmware/driver layers.
• Experience leading large cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of scale-up (NVLink/XGMI/RoCE) and scale-out (NICs) interfaces for AI platforms.
• Develop understanding of collective communication patterns to optimize NPI.
• Proactively create experiments to detect, reproduce, and diagnose hardware/firmware/software issues.
• Contribute to prototyping for future AI tech explorations and experiments.
• Troubleshoot and root-cause system failures with internal/external partners.
• Improve visibility through data visualization and systemic health solutions.
• Leverage production experience to drive cross-team product quality improvements.
