Job summary

Meta seeks a Hardware Systems Engineer to lead end-to-end validation of AI and HPC server platforms for large-scale data centers. You will drive bring-up, characterization, and validation of AI servers, accelerators, and memory subsystems, partnering across hardware, firmware, software, networking, and capacity teams to ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years in hardware systems engineering or related bring-up roles for AI servers, GPUs, or accelerators.
• Experience in ASIC bring-up, board-level debug, firmware validation, or large-scale data center validation.
• Experience developing test specifications and debug procedures for complex hardware systems.
• Experience leading root-cause analysis across hardware, firmware and software stacks.
• Experience with PCIe, NVLink, DDR5 or HBM in AI/HPC contexts.
• Experience analyzing telemetry and fleet health data to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system validation strategies for AI/HPC hardware in data centers.
• Bring-up, characterization, and validation of AI server systems and components.
• Develop test specs, validation procedures, and debug guides for NPI programs.
• Investigate complex system failures across silicon, firmware, and software with cross-functional teams.
• Triage hardware/firmware defects and maintain progress on milestones.
• Improve test coverage, methodologies, and automation across the NPI lifecycle.
• Define acceptance criteria for deployment readiness with AI platform teams.
• Analyze telemetry to surface hardware quality trends and inform go/no-go decisions.
• Communicate validation status and risks to internal teams and external vendors.
• Collaborate on hardware-software interface requirements for telemetry and remote management.
