Job summary

Meta seeks a Systems Engineer to join the RTP-NPI team, supporting AI/ML initiatives at datacenter scale. You will drive the hardware lifecycle from prototyping to production, enabling automated provisioning and remediation across Meta servers.

The role focuses on scale up/scale out network tech, NICs, and RDMA, collaborating with HW/SW co‑design, data center ops, and production teams to deliver production‑ready platforms for AI workloads.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
6+ years in network/hardware or related domains.
Knowledge of server architecture and components.
Experience with Linux environments.
TCP/IP expertise and iperf usage.
Hands-on debugging across hardware/software/firmware.

Responsibilities

Support scale up and scale out interface integration for AI platforms.
Understand AI workloads and collective communication patterns for NPI.
Create experiments and tooling to detect, reproduce, and diagnose hardware/firmware health issues.
Contribute to rapid prototyping and proof‑of‑concept efforts for future AI tech explorations.
Troubleshoot and root cause system failures with internal and external partners.
Develop visibility through data visualization and systemic hardware health solutions.
