Job summary

Cisco is seeking a versatile UX Designer to join a small, dynamic design team in a remote capacity. You will architect and design intuitive AI‑powered experiences and AI‑assisted workflows to improve user efficiency.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver AI‑native digital experiences within an agile, AI‑integrated development process, aligning with business goals and evolving user needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or equivalent work experience.
• 7 years of professional experience as a UX Designer or in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience with the full UX design process, including information architecture, user flows, and wireframing.
• Proficiency in the latest industry-standard design tools.
• Experience creating high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes.

Responsibilities

• AI-Native Experience Design: Architect and design innovative AI-powered experiences, focusing on prompt-based interfaces and proactive AI assistive workflows.
• Ethical Design Stewardship: Integrate ethical AI design principles, ensuring visibility, bias mitigation, and user agency in automated systems.
• Comprehensive Prototyping: Build wireframes, mock-ups, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes that articulate evolving interaction patterns.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers and developers to align on project goals and participate in critique sessions to refine design concepts.
• Iterative Development: Rapidly iterate on designs based on customer feedback, concept testing, and usability metrics to optimize satisfaction and performance.
• Accessibility and Standards: Ensure all designs meet the highest accessibility and usability standards.
• Continuous Innovation: Proactively identify opportunities for product enhancement and maintain a commitment to sharing expertise in design trends with the team.
