Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable software across cloud-native and on‑prem environments. You will own the technical lifecycle of complex projects, emphasizing secure coding practices, user privacy, and UX, while integrating AI-enabled frameworks to accelerate product capabilities.

The role involves end-to-end implementation with a mix of hands-on development and strategic technical leadership in a hybrid work setting across RTP, Austin, and Richardson

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; 7+ years’ experience, or Master’s 4+, or PhD 1+ year.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on‑premises with Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks, generative AI and LLMs.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex projects; SDLC, Agile, secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and delivery of scalable software solutions across cloud-native and on‑prem environments.
• Own the technical lifecycle of complex projects with emphasis on secure coding and UX.
• Integrate AI-enabled frameworks and tools to accelerate product capabilities.
• Manage end‑to‑end implementation, balancing strategy and hands‑on development.
