Job summary

Bedrock Knowledge, Inc. is seeking a software architect with AI coding expertise for a full-time, hybrid role in the Washington, DC metro area.

You will design architecture, interfaces, and type contracts for AI agents, then review and integrate their output into a secure, maintainable platform. Responsibilities include defining module boundaries, reviewing AI-generated code, building tests and CI/CD guardrails, and delivering end-to-end platform features with well-documented APIs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a professional software role.
• Direct experience guiding AI coding agents on real codebases beyond autocomplete.
• Strong preference for TypeScript or other strongly-typed languages and advanced type-system usage.
• Experience integrating code from multiple engineers; and architecting federated, service-oriented solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define module boundaries, interfaces, and strongly typed contracts for AI-generated code.
• Review and integrate agent-produced code, prevent design drift and bugs.
• Maintain specs, context, and conventions for coding agents.
• Build test coverage and CI/CD checks to guard AI changes.
• Review agent output for security issues, such as unsafe input handling or leaked secrets.
• Collaborate within a small team and own end-to-end features.
• Work with AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Devin, Codex to ship robust APIs.
• Write clean TypeScript in a dynamic small team with minimal oversight.
