Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the engineering efforts for the Talent Evaluation platform.

You will stay hands-on while guiding a multi-disciplinary team across domains and levels of leadership to deliver end-to-end experiences for Amazon's corporate employees. You will drive architecture for distributed systems, implement agentic development life cycle practices, and set clear expectations with customers while mentoring engineers to deliver

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting multi-tier web services.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Knowledge of the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and livesite operations.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering effort for the Talent Evaluation platform in Bellevue.
• Coordinate across multiple product domains and VP-level organizations to deliver end-to-end experiences for corporate Amazonians.
• Steer developers to build a scalable, secure, and reliable software system with an agentic development life cycle.
