Job summary

STLabs is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Full-Stack AI to own the end-to-end technical vision for intelligence across our platform—from data ingestion and model reasoning to APIs and user interfaces.

This senior role combines AI systems, distributed infrastructure, and product-grade software engineering. You will architect and ship production AI systems, mentor engineers, influence product direction, and help define what applied, full-stack AI means for STLabs.

Qualifications

10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Proven experience with AI-native, distributed systems.
Hands-on with LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, and RAG pipelines.

Responsibilities

Architect the core intelligence layer of the platform across data ingestion, embeddings, retrieval, graph reasoning and real-time inference.
Define how LLMs and predictive models integrate across backend services, APIs and user-facing experiences.
Lead architectural decisions around model selection, evaluation, and inference infrastructure.
Build end-to-end AI-powered features from backend reasoning services to APIs and user workflows.
Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices across the stack.
