Aviva seeks an AI Model Risk & Governance Lead to challenge and oversee complex models across pricing, reserving and customer analytics. You will join Group Model Validation to provide independent validation and risk oversight of advanced analytics, machine learning and AI implementations.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced quantitative professional with a strong background in model validation, model risk management or independent model review. You'll bring expertise in advanced analytics, machine learning or AI models and enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders to provide insightful challenge and oversight. Qualified actuaries or professionals with equivalent quantitative and risk management experience would be particularly well suited to this role.
You’ll join Aviva’s Group Model Validation team, helping to provide independent oversight and assurance across a broad range of business-critical models. The role focuses on the validation and review of advanced analytics and AI models, including pricing, reserving, customer segmentation and productivity-enhancing solutions.
Working alongside model owners, risk specialists and senior stakeholders across the business, you’ll assess model performance, governance and regulatory compliance, delivering independent challenge and supporting effective model risk management. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing development of validation tools, methodologies and challenger models, helping strengthen Aviva’s approach to overseeing emerging analytics and AI capabilities.
